We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician to join our ambitious and growing solar energy company based in the South of England delivering domestic solar PV installations. You’ll be joining us in a vital role as a solar electrician, where you will receive industry specific training and scope to progress your career.
The Role: In this full-time role as a solar electrician, you will be travelling to customers properties, undertaking domestic solar PV and battery storage installations and maintenance services, remedial work, testing and inspection of electrical work, completing all relevant paperwork and certification to ensure compliance and commissioning of the new system. The successful candidate will be given relevant training to complete installations to current legislation and a high quality of workmanship.
You will be travelling to sites, predominantly in the south of England to work alongside a Roofer and apprentice/labourer as part of a team, completing at least one installation per day. There will be a requirement for you to be able to travel and stay away for work when necessary, accommodation and an ‘out of town’ allowance will be provided.
Key skills and experience required:
- Fully qualified electrician
- Reliable, competent and an excellent communicator with great customer service skills
- Relevant qualifications: NVQ level 3 Electrical Qualification and 18th Edition. The following are preferred: AM2, 2391 testing and inspection, BPEC or equivalent solar qualification, EESS qualification
- Work to meet the requirements of BS7671 Electrical regulations
- Solar installation experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of the MCS scheme and standards (training provided)
Starting salary for full time employed electrician: £32,000 - £38,000 per year with additional company bonus scheme. We will also consider part time applications on a pro rata basis, or freelance electricians looking to fill in gaps between their current schedules.
